If American Movies were like this, I'd still go see them. Maybe.

Of course, the defenders of American genre crud will sneer "It looks so fake!" and "It's entirely unbelievable" as they switch back to a Transformers or Iron Man movie. As for me, even the best modern CGI isn't going to make me believe what's on the screen is real-- I tried sitting through 15 minutes of District 9 last week, and the stilted computer-puppet aliens in no way helped me see past the even more implausible premise.
India, Hong Kong, and most of the world (except France, maybe) hasn't decided that every stupid movie from King Kong to Spider-Man has to be an angst-ridden psuedo-realistic "serious" piece of garbage. What's wrong with a little absurdity, or a sense of humor? I haven't seen a new non-animated movie in going on a decade, and I can't imagine ever doing it again...
